A genuine WEB solution

The GLASYS warehouse and production tracking system provides on-line operation, i.e. immediate data processing, so you can always get an up-to-date picture of the current state of the warehouse. Data entry, control and management of processes are carried out with the help of computers and mobile data collectors connected to the data network in the warehouse.

In the case of traditional systems, a commonly used procedure is to install a copy of the software on the desktop computers and to ensure access to the database server.

GLASYS is a true three-layer system that can be accessed from any networked computer (without installation), requiring only a browser.

GLASYS is a true three-layer system that can be accessed from any networked computer (without installation), requiring only a browser.

The application of this method provides users with such advantages that they can use the functions offered by

GLASYS The system imposes minimal requirements on the hardware device from which I would like to use it, as it must only be capable of running one browser. This structure gives enough flexibility to extend the system to other business areas; as well as for the flexible transfer of modifications to the existing functionality that may become necessary (not every user needs to install the new software version on their computer). With the spread of smart phones, the use of such equipment in the warehouse system has an increasing right to exist, which GLASYS supports without compromise.

Environment to be created:
To serve the GLASYS system, you need an MSSQL database manager with a LAN connection and a Windows server running

GLASYS the GLASYS system, in the case of fixed workstations, a computer (terminal) capable of running a new generation browser with a LAN connection is required. It is recommended to use a barcode reader connected to the computer with a KBW or USB HID interface. In the case of mobile workstations, a mobile data collector (mobile terminal) integrated with a barcode reader with a WLAN connection is required. In the case of an external location, a stable Internet connection (with a fixed IP address) is required to use fixed workstations and mobile data collectors.

A LAN connection is required for barcode printers and printers for printing receipts.

Features, capabilities
The GLASYS WMS warehouse software is used to optimize and manage warehouse processes. Manages the work of warehouse workers online with paperless barcode or RFID identification. The warehouse software allows the use of several warehouses, zones and storage types.
Most administrative and enterprise management systems (ERP) do not have warehouse management software with well-developed functionality, so the vast majority of users need an external warehouse management system specially developed for this task.

Independent and integrated operation
Our warehouse system can manage all the tasks of a warehouse by communicating with the ERP implemented in the company, but it can also operate completely independently. Our warehouse management program can also cooperate with other IT systems.
It is easy to set certain functions to work in the warehouse management software or, if available, in the administration. The entire master data management can be done in the company management system. In this case, only the functions related to warehouse management work in the warehouse system. If necessary, the warehouse system can take over all functions, including invoicing.

State-of-the-art techniques
Identification is done with barcodes and, if necessary, with RFID. Storage tasks are managed with the help of on-line handheld computers. These technologies significantly speed up the execution of tasks and increase the accuracy of execution.
The system is one of the first warehouse management systems to offer a new WEB-based solution. At the same time, it provides users with a fully functional interface that would not have been possible just a few years ago. In the solution, the performance expectations of the users' computers are minimal, since they only have to ensure that a web browser is running (thin client). The system uses a unique Android-based software for mobile data collectors, which also works as a thin client. Adequate data security is ensured by modern development tools and the unique authentication solutions created with them

  • Features of our warehouse system
    • Accurate inventory information
    • Paperless warehouse
    • Withdrawal optimization
    • Expected stock shortage (based on inventory, deliveries and deliveries)
    • Optimal uploading of storage spaces
    • Typed storage areas
    • Any number of warehouses and locations
  • Barcode warehouse material handling unit identification
    • "Article" storage, where we only keep open how much of which article is in each storage location
    • Storage of uniquely identified products, where each product receives a unique barcode (identifier).
    • Inventory according to quantity, broken down according to storage location
    • Unique identification of unit stacks (pallets, collective packaging, or articles) and life path tracking. The movement of unit stacks identified by barcode labels can be tracked throughout the warehouse process. (Uniquely identifiable, e.g. with a factory number, unique register in the case of articles)
  • Basic warehouse operations
    • Placing an order (delivery, delivery).
    • Revenue
      • Shipment control (article number, piece number, batch number, factory number). It can arrive from a supplier, cost center, another company's warehouse and production. Receipt of products arriving without an order is also possible. Production of receipt.
      • Multiple monetizations can be made in parallel.
  • Labeling (two types)
    • Sticking TAG labels. This must precede receipt of the shipment. Each label has a unique TAG identifier (with barcode).
    • No TAG (no collection management in the warehouse). In this case, the products are only labeled with their article number. However, this will be pasted after monetization.
  • Quality assurance
    • Inspection and evaluation of incoming materials from production.
  • Storage
    • Storage of the received shipment in the warehouse. It can be done by simply storing the pallets and scattering the items on the pallets.
    • If necessary, the program sends the received materials to outgoing shipments.
  • Internal material handling
    • Warehouse arrangement. Filling of active storage spaces. Return storage from the picking room.
    • High storage picking and loading.
  • Withdrawal
    • Preparing whole-pallet deliveries or packing them directly on the car. If necessary, monitoring the expiration date and FIFO.
    • Withdrawal optimization.
  • Picking
    • Collecting articles from different storage locations onto a picking pallet. Optimizing the access route.
    • Monitoring the stackability and size of materials.
  • Dock audit (in and out)
    • Outbound shipments are after collection
    • Final inspection of incoming shipments after labeling.
  • Inventory
    • Standing inventory, during which all warehouse processes are stopped and the entire stock of goods is inventoried. In the case of a raw material warehouse, it is possible to record the inventory of the plants.
    • Continuous inventory, during which only one storage location is inventoried. Continuous inventories can be issued in advance, for example to inventory an item or an area.

Identification technologies
Our warehouse system uses barcodes to identify storage locations, stacks and articles. Any barcode type can be used, even two-dimensional codes (pdf417, Data Matrix, etc.). With the help of installed barcode readers and wireless mobile data collectors, the recording of warehouse processes is accurate and fast.

Contact with customers and suppliers
Our warehouse system flexibly supports communication with the logistics system of your partners. With the introduction of EDI, the processing of customer orders and all other processes related to this can be reduced to a fraction of the time; you get accurate and up-to-date data much sooner. Our system supports the VDA4905 standard.

Connection with the company management system
Our system can connect to any ERP system that can communicate with files.
Supported communication formats XML, JSON, DBF, TXT and RFC for SAP.

Mobile data collectors
In our warehouse system, we support the actual movement of goods and data collection with mobile data collectors (wlan - pda), so data is actually recorded at the place of work. All important information can be retrieved on handheld devices. The screens are simple and require minimal typing.

Peripherals
Printers: label printers (Intermec, Zebra), block printers, normal printers for printing receipts
Automatic data entry station: scales, thermometers, RFID readers installed on gates, etc.

Label printing
Our barcode system includes a label printing module, so you don't need a separate printer program. Labels can be automatically printed on different label printers.
It is not tied to a specific brand, you can choose any of the major label printer manufacturers (Zebra, Honeywell, etc.).

On-site installation:
If we only offered our partners easy-to-use software products, this alone would not be enough for success. We must deliver these products as part of well-tailored solutions to help our partners' business processes become more efficient. Therefore, we have developed our introduction method based on the experience of previous introductions.
We consider it important to emphasize that the introduction is a joint effort and we can only make it a success if both parties are intensively involved in the introduction process.

The implementation process consists of the following steps:
Definition of expected benefits and results
In the first meeting, we clarify what are the problems in the current operation that are expected to be solved by the introduction of the system. The exact definition of the goals to be achieved is essential for the successful implementation of the new system.

Presentation, test system
By reviewing the operation of the system, we give you the opportunity to gain experience with the operation of the processes and, last but not least, to be convinced of its user-friendliness. The technology used allows us to create a test system for you, on which you can test the operation of the system yourself with remote access.

Situation assessment
In order to be able to propose a suitable solution (and thereby achieve the goal set by the client), we need to get to know the operating environment, the currently used processes, and understand the problems and difficulties that hinder effective work.

Solution proposal, selection of suitable GLASYS functions and devices
Based on the expected benefits and the situation assessment, we will prepare a description of the operating process, which contains the main elements of the process. We select the necessary GLASYS functions. If necessary, we make recommendations for bar code readers, barcodes, printers, and mobile data collection equipment, as well as for building WiFi coverage in warehouse areas. We have experience in this as well, we have the right background.

Customization
Based on the results of the surveys, our staff prepares the necessary extensions to the system, which are necessary so that we can accurately cover your expectations with the operation designed in this way.

Installation, training
After the completion of the system extensions, we install a test system (usually on our own server, from which it can be used with remote access).
The test system has a dual function: it provides an opportunity to test the operation of the processes in practice and to train the employees.

Test operation
During the test operation, the system is already used independently, but we still monitor the use intensively. In such cases, there is still the possibility of "fine tuning". Since the system starts to be loaded with data that can already be evaluated during use, it is usually at this stage that individual queries are requested.

Live start-up
After the live start-up, the processes are followed only in the new system, where all documents are produced and all data is extracted from here.

Operation support, updates
As a related service, we offer several levels of operation support services for all our systems. The services include priority availability, flat-rate development (for the implementation of smaller ideas) and follow-up of updates. We have designed the system to be as flexible as possible from the point of view of being able to comply with the relevant legal changes without the intervention of programmers, but unfortunately this is not always feasible. According to our experience, our partners require even more intensive care for about a year from the start.
